Little Princessa (aka Miss Lydia, Little Miss, Pretty Liddy, etc.), you are our blessing! Today she was blessed by her dear Daddy at church. What a sacred thing, to hold his little girl in a circle of priesthood strength, to be given a name for this journey through life, and to shed a light on the precious little girl that I already know you are! Lydia, in her pure white clothing, reminded me--again--of the best and most lasting things in life. We woke today to snow--yep, beautiful white flurries falling down. It is March 1st, the beginning of a month filled with memories in our family. On March 31st two years ago, we lived our last mortal moments with Baby Shane. It was the 31st, the close of a month, the end of his precious life. Today it is the 1st, a new month ahead, a new life to hold, another lasting March memory. I don't know how, but the Lord brought snow for us on the day of Shane's funeral and viewing--a spring surprise. I still am in awe over the Lord's love for us as He brought snow yet again. Simple reminders, tender mercies, a beautiful little girl! Aunt Sara made Miss Lydia her skirt--talented huh? I don't know how she does it, but she has practiced on two beautiful girls for 5 years now!
Miss Lydia, you are almost unreal to me; what an honor it is to hold you, tend to your every care, teach you the virtue of being a daughter of God, and to watch you grow. You are an angel.

You know when I first read the part about it snowing on her blessing I couldn't believe it! The lord has given you a gift, and it is such a blessing to me to be able to read, and witness his love for you and your sweet family. So thank you for sharing that and all the other beautiful stories. It's alwasy so amazing to me how much the lord loves his children. You all look so cute, and that little princess is truly beautiful in white! She's adorable.
