On day three of our Utah trip, we did everything that I wanted to do for MY BIRTHDAY!! My Birthday was 2 days away, but my baptismal anniversary was on this day, so it was a fitting celebration for me. We allowed the children to choose where we would eat; they chose Apple bee's.
Mr. Cool, looking cool!
I was able to buy 2 new pairs of glasses...some bug eye ones...
And some running ones...which I never got to use....
Because both them and the cute colorful cases they came in were stolen from the car one day at the park. I was devastated : (
We toured temple square...these are model images of the inside of this amazing temple!
We attempted to gather pictures of the kids with each parent, and we ended up with silhouettes; it was perfect!
I partook of the beauty of the flowers with my baby girls...they are so precious!
And then Daddy pretended I was the little girl he courted 11 years ago...not after 5 children...not so little anymore!
We even found the spot he proposed to me at, minus the Christmas tree, Christmas music and a gift with a red rose which sat under a tress adorning a tag which said "Crystal". I am so naive...I looked at it, and said, "Oh look, that's my name!" and continued on my merry way. Then it dawned on me...that was not just my name, that was a gift for me!!!
We pretended my engagement ring was a mood ring this time around!
And then, we stood in front of the Christus...the last time we did this as a family was in DC when our baby Shane was with us in the last few weeks of his life.
We received our own personal tour of the conference center by a sweet and gentle man. Connor was focused on his words and teachings, and to my great happiness, was able to answer scriptural teachings correctly. We saw a statue of the first vision...
And then we saw the back of the statue where the Father has placed His hand around His Son, Jesus Christ. You see, the Father guides the Son in all things, LOVES Him along the way, and is always a support to Him. The Son has done all things which the Father has done, and he is truly a Father in all the loving ways a Father should be.
We then came back to our room and celebrated my Birthday. It's been a loooong time since I've seen such a spectacle for my Birthday. I felt spoiled!
Aiden gave me vintage bobby pins for my hair.
Connor gave me a vintage bracelet.
And my husband gave me many gifts...decor signs for my home...
A UKULELE!!!!
A few books to use with mu ukulele...and yes, I did yell out, "I AM Taylor Swift," as soon as I opened the gift!
And I received a beautiful leather bound journal to write...my stories, etc...
It was a Birthday to remember!
