Going Home from Utah

Our trip home from Utah was meant to be an early morning rise...
But many complications left us fixing, gathering, and stopping for one reason or another!
There was one stop along the way, about 30 minutes into driving; Lydia (who is not potty trained except for pooing) needed to go to the restroom.  She walked hand in hand with me into an LDS chapel...which are MANY in Utah.  The chapel was beautiful, and when we ended up walking inside Lydia said, "Is this a temple?"  I told her no, it's a church like the one we go to.  She said, "We should go to church here, it's beautiful!"  By the way, she didn't poo...just tinkled and tooted!
We played games...count the chapels!  And watched Maya as she sought her signing time DVD.  She sought it because the DVD player BROKE at the beginning of the trip!  YAY (as Mommy and Daddy silently cried)!!!
I slept through the first half of the trip, and fulfilled my driving time in the late night hours...the hours I am always able to survive better than most in our home!
And late night trips at Walmart...well, those use to be fun.  When you have two screaming toddlers, it is far from fun, it is only a necessity...to get in and out!  We all needed to go potty!
The children and Steve slept until Santa Fe...then May awoke, and nothing could console her.  I listened to her little whimpers the entire way home, just wanting so bad to hold my baby and love her little dirty body!
We did get home, and the kids were the first priority...
Then I stayed up super late unpacking a car I knew I wouldn't want to unpack in the morning!
Oh, the joy of road trips!
