So as I said earlier, I have a week off from school which finally gives me a few extra minutes to breath. Somebody recently suffered a loss and I have been meaning to send a card out to them for a couple of weeks now. I decided today to make it myself. Crystal hasn't played much with her Christmas present, so I tested it out today. It is a Cricut Expressions plotter/cutter. Some of the card was done by hand and some of it by the machine. My heart goes out to this family. To the family; I hope you know how much we love you and ache with you. I will leave the rest of my thoughts for the card. I just had to post pictures though of one of my first attempts at making cards. I have done a few in the past by hand, but nothing like this. First quilting, now this. I know you are all starting to wonder, right? Let me know what you think (of the card that is).

i'm impressed--it's sooo pretty
I worked for Provo Craft (the makers of the Cricut) for 2 years! I love my Cricut.
And now I know who else to turn to for ideas. :)
It looks great Steve! Yea, I am starting to wonder...It's a good thing you are married with children! LOL! I love a man who is not afraid of their feminine side...my hubby is the same way (but not quite at the level you are, he is out at war now...).
Wow, Steve! You continue to amaze me. I know you were a bit older than me, but you never smiled much until we played tennis, and quite frankly...I was a little scared! I'm very impressed with the card, though. I'm in a card making group and can't do anything quite like that!
Dear Crystal's Steve,
I'm so glad that you both post so much, because even though we've not met, I smile every time I visit the blog because you seem like a perfect fit for my dear friend. And I'm guessing that what you'd put inside the card is even more impressive than the beautiful outside. Your wife and her family are like that too. The outside is insanely beautiful, but the inside of each of those great girls is heartbreakingly, devastatingly gorgeous. If ever there were people whose outsides reflected their beautiful insides, it's those ladies. So thanks for taking care of my girl.
