It was a long day, and my eyes were tired from late night housework and prep for the first day of this semester, but I kept a smile ALL DAY LONG...
except when I said goodbye to Miss Lydia...
then there were tears.

I'm not saying it wasn't hard...for both of us, but WE DID IT! And now we are one day closer to the end of the semester and the start of a whole new path!
Lydia decided not to eat.
Thought that would happen! Yet, I found time to skip out of class a few minutes early to rush home and feed her, and then it was back to my clinical site as I grabbed a measly lunch for myself.
We're both having feeding issues.
Thank heaven for my little princessa...what a good girl she is!

Wow Crystal, I'm so happy you can find the joy, even through the struggles. I never felt like I found that joy and regret it, because I was so sad and down throughout my return to work when Emma was a baby. But, in just a few short months you guys will be done and though it'll still be hard, the more joy you find, the more you'll remember. I love you guys and know that you are in my thoughts. Although the path I've chosen is still difficult, I remember each day the blessing it is to be able to be by Emma's side, you help me remember that, Thank you!
And you can do it! I am so proud of you for finishing school and being an incredible mom to 4 beautiful children :) There are very few people who can go to nursing school and be a mother with such grace. You are a wonderful example to us all and your kids will always look up to you for the sacrifices you have made on their behalf. Good luck! *I gave both Haley and Kori bottles of formula and breast milk when they were newborns to make sure they would nurse and also take a bottle when I needed them too. I don't have any good advice on how to get her to take that bottle. My girls liked the the "Playtex Ventair" bottles with the wide nipple. The wide nipple on the bottle is supposed to help in introducing the bottle when breastfeeding also. Might want to give it a try. Good luck!
