Potions

Tonight, we had a little talk with these little guys:
Here's my care plan (Nursing school has taught me well!):
Diagnosis--Knowledge Deficit (of deadly electrical currents) related to unexperienced fragile innocent minds secondary to childhood...oh...no, boyhood!

Assessments--Aiden sticking a pipe cleaner (Yes, those pretty fuzzy things that hide deadly metal) into every hole of a running laptop computer. Connor and Aiden laughing hysterically.

Goals--Children will understand the nature of electrical currents in the next two seconds--preferably, by word and not by action! Children will be safe from harm...always!

Interventions--Yell at children to help them understand they are doing something terribly wrong. Scold children once they pull their hands back to let them know, once again, that it was wrong. Take pipe cleaner and mold it into a ring to fashionably fit Mommy's big finger to let them know it now belongs to me! Educate them regarding the deadly influence of "jumping" electrical currents to instill fear.

Outcome--Connor looks at us and says, "You guys know Science?"

Mom and Dad--"Yeah Connor, we do!"

Connor--"Like then, you know how to make potions? Because I have been trying to learn how!"
The boys got a potion from Daddy tonight and LOVED it! The volcano potion! Look at the happiness!
Good job Daddy! Your goal was not met...the children did not learn the harm of electrical currents. BUT...they were safe from harm...as safe as they could be, with a fun loving Daddy!

I just have to say, that this has been one of my favorite stories from you. You're such an awesome writer and the nursing terminology is cute and clever. The boys looked so happy--those are wonderful moments to make into memories.
