Christmas time is magical for our little family as we open the season remembering our little innocent babe, it is a perfect way to open the Christmas season in it's true glory. The Christ babe was born, grew to manhood, overcame sin and death, and rose to new everlasting life for us. We use December 2nd--our Baby Shane's birthday--to open our Christmas every year--it is the best gift we have, to symbolically look at our baby in connection with the Christ babe for hope of everlasting life to come.
Aunt Sara and Uncle Tim can always be counted on to give us a little piece of happiness on Shane's Birthday. We love the flowers, it helps to know that someone is thinking of our happiness and continued sorrow on these anniversaries.
I enjoyed sitting under our Christmas quilt while the boys decorated the tree!
And she enjoyed the sweets of the day. Seems she is attached to her Daddy--after all, he tends to her 100% of the time these days, from feedings to baths, fits, naps, and the many yummy treats. Actually, she even did a little off roading with the boys this week while I was at work! Oh,the life of a stay at home Dad!

What a beautiful family . . . really, you guys are gorgeous, every single one of you. Those flowers are so pretty; they're perfect for a three year anniversary--by the way, Hyrum just started drawing happy faces as he approaches 3 . . . I love you guys.
What a beautiful job you all did on decorating that Christmas tree. I love the Christmas season when we focus our thoughts and energy on the Savior, Jesus Christ, his birth and his life of love and service. How sad it must make him that many of his own are turning further and further away from him and his teachings. It is up to each of us to be that light unto the world and you guys are a wonderful example of just that light. We love and miss you all so much. Love, Dad/Grandpa

Also I just wanted to say what a special day Baby Shane's birthday is for your family. I think you could not give him any thing better then that. As you all remember him our Savior and your own perfect son Shane. Seeing you together as a family spending his day like that must make him so happy. You are such a good mom! He is lucky to have you and Steve as his parents. Those boys did a good job on that tree. They look so cute and happy. As for that little princess...it seems like she has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger! Too cute!
Steve,
I just want to tell you how much I love that image of you by yourself decorating the tree. It makes a statement about you that touches me. You do what needs to be done, by yourself, if that's what you are called upon to do. Though there are so many shades of black, white and gray, you continue on a forward path accomplishing. building, making the world a better place for your family. You stand for what you believe in, regardless of who stands with you. But you do all this kneeling, focusing on the light. That image makes me wish I were there so I could hug you and tell you how happy I am that Crystal chose you to be her husband and the father of her children.
