Funny Kids!

Lydia is full of fun lately...
"Mom, when you're done, I'm gonna teach you how to play ball with me in Spanish!"
We live in NM, but we are only "lingual"...not bilingual!

Tonight the play station remote needed to be plugged into the PlayStation for them to watch their ritual bedtime shows on netflix, Dragon Tales and Dora, one for each child!  The remote battery was out, and Lydia was testing her limits to see how far it would "stretch"!
After it came out two times, she said, "I'll try 20 times!"
Of course, I laughed, but it hurt her feelings, she claimed that it was only funny for the boys...in the opposite room! ?Ya, I dunno either?
This is Maya THEN...in June 2010...

And this is Maya now...almost THREE!!!!
Her nighttime song is ....
"Dora"
No, it's not Twinkle Twinkle, Jesus Loves Me, I Am a Child of God, it is...
Dora!
I have to sing the entire song to her every night.
I get to the end of the first line, "Dora, Dora, Dora the Explorer!!!"
and her sweet eyes close slowly as her grin whispers, "I love Dora!"
I continue, "Boots and Super cool Explora-lora!"
and she says, "and you love Boots!"
Huh?  I do???
I missed the "Jump In" once and she screamed at the top of her lungs with tears pouring down her cheeks, "JUMP IN!!!"  I graced her with a second singing of the song.
As I leave her room her little hand is putting out the "stop sign" signal over and over as she sings "swip oh swip, swip oh swip, swip oh swip...."
which means
"Swipper no swipping, Swipper no swipping!"
She is a breath of fresh air!
Aiden is ALWAYS actively doing something!  He was roller skating around the house with this attire before bedtime the other night and earned the nickname of "Michael Jackson!"
And while Aiden was moving around, always moving....Connor was tucked away in his room building more creations!  I told him he should think of a career in engineering!  He creates AMAZING things, so much that I decided to start taking pics of them...they are all from the depths of his creative mind.
His response to my nudge was, "Maybe I can create the new sets for kids!"
Live your dreams my dear!
