School time drama!

Today was the first day with all the kids in school, for a few hours at least.  After homeschooling the first half of the week and making late night runs for more supplies while the children rested very tired bodies, I zonked  💤 with the few hours I had before the run around to gather children began this afternoon.  I'm grateful for the change in time schedule with the Family School, because my alarm was set for 2:10 am.  AM???  I woke on my own by 2:40 pm and rushed to get the boys who had waited 25 minutes for me.  This pregnant Mommy found a way to make the change in schedule an excuse--"oh dear, today's release is at 2:30 this year?" 😂 The boys giggled and told me of the cupcakes they were offered as they waited--glad they got a treat since their Mommy is already overworked and beat.  About a dozen children were in the same predicament--first days and new schedules take a bit of time to master.  Love understanding and cheerful staff--life is too short to pass judgement on small errors.  It's much more fun to laugh it off anyhow!
