Can you tell what I have been teaching these kids to do...all by example, the best teacher life can offer! I finished my run with my sister this morning...we stood and talked for a good 5 minutes before she turned and headed home, and then felt like letting Miss Lydia enjoy the morning. She decided with her own sweet will and stated it to me ever so kindly..."I wan run wif you Mommy!" She pushed the jogger and ran 1/4 mile home. I love to make every minute of my morning run worth something, but this morning I let go and let her love her 1/4 mile; I guess you can say it was worth more than gold in the end!
See what I mean? More than gold!
Thursday night, I must have said a hundred times over, "DO YOUR HOMEWORK!"
I swore something terribly addicting had been sprinkled in the kids food as, one by one, they all turned into laughing lunatics...accomplishing everything, but their homework. I tried placing one in the bedroom and the other at the kitchen table, but Miss Lydia made her way into the bedroom and encouraged the lunatic regimen, worsening the scenario every passing moment. She sat behind Connor, pulling him back by his shirt collar, invoking the hyena laugh that I simple adore from the depths of his belly. I sat back in the corner of the kitchen, giggling silently, so as to maintain my parental role.
The homework was NOT GETTING DONE!
Moments later, Connor broke into a self made tune, singing a two word song at the top of his lungs, "Teddy bear....teeeeedyyyy beeear!"
I decided to switch my agenda from homework to showers. I told Aiden, "Shower...NOW!"; ten times later, the same words were escaping my mouth. Aiden stood at the bathroom door, behind a two inch opening with a conniving grin. I shouted, "Do...(long pause as I gather my thoughts)... (oh yes, here it is)...what I tell you to do!" HA...how's that for saving myself? Aiden giggled, sending me into laughter, as he said, "Do...your homework?" I guess you can't out wit a 6 year old...when you're a Mom of many children, they all have combination names, such as ConAiden, and your sentences no longer make sense...
And last, but not least, I did have a Birthday a while back. My Mom recently took me to Old town to celebrate; I captured Miss Lydia chasing a bird there!
We ate YUMMY food!
And laughed hysterically at the October "2th" rosary rally!
Steve spoiled me rotten that day!
I spent a Birthday lunch with my Sister, Cara (a good friend) and all the kiddos! My niece desperately wanted to be my child that day! :)
And experimented with a new make-up look! I know, I'm a dork...but it's fun!

You have such a wonderful family, Crystal...
I love to see the sparkling eyes of yours. You're so pretty ;)
Wow! So much fun! That's admirable to turn a moment of stress into fun and laughter...there's just not enough fun and laughter in the world today...at least the good kind. You're a great mom! Thanks for pushing me to run...and giving me the chance to vent, perhaps next time we should have our own giggling fest.
